Fitzsimons were appointed as Cost Consultants for 1 Hotel Mayfair – the first UK property for SH Hotels & Resorts' ‘1’ branded luxury hotel. Sustainability was a key driver throughout the project, which successfully achieved a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating. Notable environmental initiatives included rainwater harvesting for irrigation of green walls and landscaping, the extensive use of sustainably sourced materials, and the installation of filtered water taps in guestrooms to reduce reliance on single-use plastics. The development comprises 181 elegantly designed guestrooms, including 44 suites and a signature penthouse suite offering panoramic views over Piccadilly and Green Park. The hotel’s public spaces are defined by a carefully curated biophilic design, seamlessly integrating natural elements to create a calming atmosphere that supports both sustainability and guest wellbeing.
