Fitzsimons provided Project Management, Cost Management, and Principal Designer services for the rebranding of the iconic Rusacks Hotel, transforming it into the flagship property of the new Marine & Lawn collection. Overlooking the 18th hole of the world-renowned Old Course in St Andrews, the hotel boasts stunning views of the West Sands and the northeast coastline. The project included a comprehensive refurbishment of the existing hotel and the construction of a new extension, adding 44 guestrooms. A standout feature of the redevelopment is the rooftop restaurant, which offers fine dining and an outdoor terrace with panoramic views over the Old Course and the surrounding coastline. The project was successfully completed on time to coincide with the return of The Open to St Andrews for its 150th Championship in 2022.
